From 1894 to 1947, the Boston Elevated Railway Company oversaw public transportation in Boston. The BERy, as it is abbreviated, constructed Boston's first elevated rapid transit lines and brought public bus transit to Boston's streets.

Graphic is the front cover of a paper brochure produced by the BERy in the summer of 1942.
