This sign case was installed on the side of the car, above one of the passenger windows. The origination as well as the destinations of the train were displayed.
The sign box was originally lit. All electrical wiring and light bulbs have been removed from the roll sign case. The roll sign is turned by a hand crank on the bottom of the case, which is still fully functional.
Dimensions: 43" wide x 10" tall x 8" front to back.
SIGN IS AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP ONLY. THIS ITEM CANNOT BE SHIPPED.
This roll sign case was removed from a decommissioned transit vehicle that was operated by Boston's MBTA. The sign is being sold "as is" with scratches, dents, repairs and other imperfections which testify to the item's use on an active transit system.
